We’re just back from trip number 3. When we bought the house, it was furnished. Not really our cup of tea but it meant that we had just about everything we needed to start using the place. The place had been empty for (we reckon) about 8 years. We had someone go in and paint from top to bottom before we went for the first time. Since then we’ve just been adding bits to make it more cosy and homely.
This room is now lovely to sit in in the evenings. On our first trip, we bought a TV but we’ve only used it once. We’ve spent more time staring at the wood burner (when it’s lit) than anything.
